JAKARTA - Putri Ayudya plays Mother Yeni in the film Yeni in the movie Waiting for Mother. The film is showing on KlikFilm starting December 17. Waiting for Mother also stars Donny Damara, Rey Mshadow, Adinda Thomas and Steffi Zamora.
The film, directed by Richard Oh, tells the story of a woman who decides to become a mother to other children. Now, the woman is lying unconscious in the hospital.
While their mother lies in the hospital, the children slowly discover things about themselves, and also discover the truth about their mother.
Even though it's just a silent act lying in a hospital ward, it's not easy to do. He revealed his difficulties during the virtual premiere gala, Friday, December 17.
"It's true that lying down is not easy. At that time, Koh Richard said that acting was the easiest, in fact I was the most afraid of silent acting, different from silent acting," said Putri.
Putri said the difficulty was how to make the character she played alive and really real. "Now the problem is how to make this character alive. People still believe she is a mother but do nothing. I can't do expression tools," said Putri.
Putri felt helped by the presence of several players in the film who made it easy for her to express her feelings even in her. “What's interesting is that I come alive with friends. If you say that Mas Donny and I and the leader are the leaders, other friends are the leaders, just like Dinda and Rey did," said Putri Ayudya.
