BAJO Independent Candidates Ready To Face Gibran In The Solo Pilkada, Terms Of Support Are Verified By The KPU

JAKARTA - The independent candidate pair Bagyo Wahyono-FX Suparjo (BAJO) is just one step away from participating in the political competition for the Solo Pilkada. BAJO is declared to have met the minimum requirements for support to advance to challenge Gibran Rakabuming Raka-Teguh Prakosa.

"(BAJO) meets the minimum requirements for the amount of support. According to Yulianto, KPU Surakarta is currently recapitulating support at the sub-district level. Meanwhile, the recapitulation at the city level was held on August 21.

The pair of independent candidates for the Solo Pilkada, Bagyo and Suparjo previously submitted their support repair documents on July 26, 2020 to the KPU Solo.

Quoted from the KPU Surakarta website, the number of support improvements submitted was the original support documents in the form of Form B.1-KWK Individual repairs as many as 21,063 files.

This file was checked, namely the number of complete documents was 19,551 files and the number of incomplete documents was 1,512 files.

In the Solo Pilkada, pairs of independent candidates must pocket the amount of support of at least 8.5 percent from the Permanent Voters List (DPT) of 421,999, namely 35,870 supporters.

On the other hand, Gibran, who is paired with Teguh Prakosa, has garnered support from PDIP, Gerindra, PAN, Golkar and PSI. Meanwhile, PKS, which has 5 seats, is still looking for ways to challenge Gibran by approaching the non-seat political party DPRD Solo.

While regarding opportunities against empty boxes, Gibran refused to respond. Because Gibran still believes he will have a challenger in the Solo Pilkada.
