The COVID-19 Task Force Regrets Our Declaration Of Violating Health Protocols
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Response Task Force regrets the declaration of the Coalition to Save Indonesia (WE) at the Proclamation Monument, Menteng, Jakarta, which violates health protocols. This is because this activity created a large crowd in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Today there is a community declaration action from the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia at the Jakarta Proclamation Monument and this can be seen by a large and very close crowd," said Wiku Adisasmito, spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, August 18.
Apart from not maintaining physical distance, many of the masses who attended also did not wear masks or wear masks, but in an inappropriate way, namely lowering them on the chin.
This criticism was not only conveyed by the COVID-19 Task Force. Previously, a number of parties also questioned the health protocol in this event.
Apart from the WE declaration, his party also mentioned about the leisure bicycle activity which was attended by 3,000 people in Padang, West Sumatra on August 16, and the music performance activity at Jumprit Nature Tourism, Temanggung, Central Java which was attended by thousands of people on August 15.
Wiku emphasized that activities that cause crowds should not be carried out. He asked the public to be careful about the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, currently the government is trying to prevent the transmission of this virus in the community.
"If incidents like this happen again, a cluster that is questioned by many parties will emerge and we must prevent this so that the safe conditions for COVID-19 in Indonesia can occur and people can resume controlled social and economic activities," he said.
"So once again, ask us to be disciplined in wearing masks and keep our distance. Because what is happening now is a reflection of the joy in society that has overlooked health protocols," he added.
Previously, Din Syamsuddin along with a number of figures including former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo declared the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE). Din Syamsuddin emphasized that WE was formed to help deal with national problems.

Not only in Jakarta, Din Syamsuddin claimed that the WE declaration was held simultaneously in a number of cities such as Solo, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Medan, Semarang, Bandung, Palembang, Makassar, Banjarmasin. The declaration also called Din Syamsuddin was carried out by our representatives abroad such as the US, Australia and Switzerland.
In front of the masses, Din Syamsuddin emphasized that WE were formed as a moral movement. This movement aspires to uphold the truth and create justice for society.
