Sandiaga Uno: Stay Vigilant And Not Panic In The Face Of The Omicron Virus
BADUNG - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said that all people should continue to increase their vigilance and not panic in the face of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
"So what we want to convey is that Omicron is in our midst and we are treating it with caution and vigilance. We will continue to increase it and don't panic, don't overdo it, of course, or overreact. Be careful, of course there will be adjustments," said Sandiaga Uno. after reviewing the Rwa Bhineda journalistic photo exhibition at Seminyak Village, Badung, Bali, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 17.
Sandiaga said the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will continue to provide travel guidelines with full responsibility for this Omicron variant virus.
"So we increase caution and increase vigilance, as well as booster programs and vaccinations for ages 6 to 11 years," he said.
In addition, Sandiaga also emphasized the importance of 3T being implemented in every region of Indonesia. And remain disciplined in implementing health protocols.
Previously, on Thursday, December 16, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin announced that the first omicron case in Indonesia occurred at the quarantine facility of the Wisma Atlet Jakarta Hospital, which was experienced by a hospital janitor with the initials N.
He explained that the case was known to occur based on the results of the genome sequencing analysis received by the Ministry of Health on December 15, 2021.
