KPK Receives 3,708 Complaints Of Alleged Corruption Until November 2021

JAKARTA - Acting Spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that his party received 3,708 complaints of alleged corruption crimes from the public. Of these, almost all have been verified.

"We noted that up to November 30, 2021, the KPK had received a total of 3,708 complaints and had verified 3,673 complaints," Ali told reporters, Friday, December 17.

Ali appreciated the role of the community, especially in efforts to eradicate corruption by submitting complaints to the KPK. Moreover, the anti-corruption commission cannot run alone without other parties.

"KPK is well aware that community participation in efforts to eradicate corruption is very important and needed. Moreover, most of the cases handled by the KPK stem from public reports," he stressed.

"For that we really appreciate the parties who continue to play a persistent role and put optimism in joint efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia," added Ali. Not only that, monitoring can also be done through kpk.go.id/statistik/complaint-society.

As for the site, the highest number of reports until October 2021 was carried out by mail with a total of 2,679 complaints. Furthermore, reports via email of 124 complaints, KWS 21 complaints, direct or demonstration 44 complaints, and messages as many as 90 complaints.

Meanwhile, the five regions that submitted the most complaints were 396 complaints, West Java 332 complaints, North Sumatra 280 complaints, East Java 264 complaints, and Central Java 194 complaints.
