National Police Chief General Sigit's Response To Hashtags On Social Media To The No Viral No Justice Phenomenon
JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that all his staff must improve their performance in terms of law enforcement and public services.
The statement was in response to the emergence of negative hashtags on social media for the Bhayangkara Corps, such as #satuharisatuoknum and #percumalaporpolisi.
"Lately on social media, of course, this is also a part that we must pay attention to, because it is part of the task of colleagues to evaluate, yes, what causes this phenomenon to occur," said Sigit during a speech at the Anev Itwasum Police Coordination Meeting. 2021, Friday, December 17th.

"Currently, the phenomenon of no viral no justice appears, so if it is not circulated, the law does not work, they make a comparison. How are cases that started with going viral compared to cases that were started by being reported under normal conditions," said Sigit.
"They see that what is going viral tends to end quickly. This is of course a phenomenon that we must evaluate later, why this happened. In fact, the hashtag #ViralForJustice phenomenon recently emerged," he continued. Therefore, Sigit asked his entire staff to immediately evaluate each other's performance. Thus, all cases, whether viral or not, can be resolved quickly.
"These phenomena are certainly part of the task of colleagues to evaluate which side is still not related to the journey of our organization, either management or individual behavior, so we must correct this later," said General Sigit.
