Starring In The Film Stealing Raden Saleh, Iqbaal Ramadhan Is Obsessed With Being A Painter

JAKARTA - In order to explore roles for his latest film "Steal Raden Saleh", Iqbaal Ramadhan studied directly with painting artists. He also admitted that he was stressed because he couldn't do it.

For two days, Iqbaal learned the ins and outs of painting from Suharmanto and Dedy Sufriadi in Yogyakarta. However, during the workshop, Iqbaal was obsessed with wanting to be like the two maestros, which made him stressed.

"I should have observed how they worked and worked, but when I was there I was obsessed with learning to paint as good as they are," said Iqbaal, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, December 17.

"In the learning process, I couldn't help but become stressed and worried. But from there, what I remembered was being able to become Piko's character, when I had to work on this painting of The Abduction of Diponegoro," he continued.

The player in the film "Bumi Manusia" said that so far he had never been in touch with the world of painting. However, he said he was grateful and enjoyed the process of observing with the painters.

"They can express their thoughts through scratching. That's one of the things that I really learned, I'm sure it's the same thing to do, because we ourselves know how much is enough for our work," said Iqbaal Ramadhan.

In this film, Iqbaal plays Piko, a student who fakes the paintings of Indonesian maestros. Iqbaal believes that Piko's character also exists in the real world.

"I believe that Piko's character does exist and that he is in a complex ecosystem, which fakes the works of a maestro whose name is not known but whose paintings are bought by hundreds of millions," he said.

"Steal Raden Saleh" is an action film about the biggest painting theft of this century. Iqbaal Ramadhan performs a jump from a building without the help of a stuntman or stuntman for his latest film. Here, Iqbaal is required to perform fighting scenes, including jumping from tall buildings.

"There was a scene of jumping from one building to another. Actually I was given a stunt but he was really good, his movements weren't really me like that. Well, I just tried it, I got up the courage," said Iqbaal Ramadhan.
