Infiltration Well Work Still Abandoned, Residents Protest The Head Of RW In Bidara China Flat
JAKARTA - The work on infiltration wells or vertical drainage in the area of the Bidara Cina Flats (Rusun) has not been completed and has even been abandoned to this day. Residents of the flats also complained about it.
There are three infiltration wells in the RT 011 area with abandoned conditions. The three infiltration wells are located right in the middle of the settlements of the residents of the Bidara Cina Flats.
Dede, a resident of the Bidara Cina Flat, said that the condition of the excavation of the infiltration well being built was left in a shambles without any obstructions around the infiltration well dug.
"Don't worry about the children when they play without being monitored, and they're afraid to enter the infiltration well, it's dangerous," said Dede to reporters, Thursday, December 16.
This complaint was acknowledged by the Head of RW 16 Bidara Cina, Teguh. Teguh admitted that he received protests from residents of the flats because the stalled infiltration wells interfered with the activities of local residents.
"Residents complained, why did they just leave it like a mess. It was a danger to the little child (the hole), then the place where the infiltration well was dug was access to the occupants' motorbikes. That's why I pressured the contractor to clean it first," said Teguh.
Actually, this issue has already received attention from the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria. Riza said his party would follow up on the findings. The DKI Water Resources Service (SDA), said Riza, will coordinate with the infiltration well construction contractor to repair it.
"The Water Resources Service will later forward it to the contractors who carry out the infiltration wells. In places where there are still things that are seen to be unfinished or unfinished, let alone some that are not yet perfect, please submit them. We will follow up later," said Riza to reporters, Wednesday, December 15.
