Udayana Student Harassed By Campus Friends, Reported By Unud BEM To Rectorate
DENPASAR - The Student Executive Board (BEM) Instagram account of Udayana University (Unud) Bali uploaded allegations of sexual harassment by a student by a faculty friend.
The perpetrator was referred to with the initials I from the Faculty of Agriculture to his friend. The harassment took place on the motorbike.
"We got the chronology from the victim. We happened to be looking for the culprit and the perpetrator was a member of the Faculty BEM. Yesterday, we met and presented the perpetrator, and the perpetrator admitted the incident," said Chairman of the Unud BEM, Muhammad Novriansyah to reporters, Thursday, December 16.
As a result of sexual harassment, the victim is traumatized. The victim is currently receiving psychological assistance.
"The victim is still traumatized, there are female members of the BEM accompanying her and currently looking for a psychiatrist," he added.
The sexual harassment case called Novriansyah occurred on Friday, December 10 night. At that time, a campus event was held in a building near the Denpasar Lumintang field.
The two of them left together and the victim asked to be taken home after the event. In the early hours of the morning, the perpetrator asked the victim to rest at the perpetrator's house but the victim refused.
While riding, the perpetrator began to sexually harass. The harassment occurred repeatedly when the streets were deserted.
"It has been reported to the rector and the dean. We first asked the victim if she wanted to go to the police," said Novriansyah.
