DTKJ Survey: More Than Half Of The People Want Jakarta Paid Roads To Be Implemented Next Year
JAKARTA - The Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) conducted a survey on plans to implement electric road pricing (ERP) in DKI Jakarta.
Head of DTKJ Haris Muhammadun said that this survey was conducted on 1,730 respondents. The age range of respondents is between 26 to 34 years.
Regarding the type of transportation used by respondents, as many as 34.2 percent of private vehicle users, 21.46 percent of online transportation, and 21.42 percent of public transportation users.
Haris said that one of the survey results stated that more than half of the respondents wanted electronic paid roads in the capital to be implemented next year.
"When will the JBE be implemented? 53.9 percent asked for the JBE to be implemented in 2022," Haris said in a virtual discussion, quoted on Thursday, December 16.
Furthermore, the majority of respondents or 64.47 percent chose Jalan Jenderal Sudirman as the location for the JBE implementation, followed by Jalan MH Thamrin as many as 23.90 percent of respondents and Jalan Rasuna Said as many as 11.63 percent.
Regarding when the JBE will be implemented, the respondents' choice of most is when there is a time of urgency, as much as 36.95 percent. Meanwhile, another 35.75 percent want JBE to be implemented during busy or congested times.
Then, in the JBE implementation rate, as many as 77.75 percent of respondents chose a tariff between Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 13,000. Then, 11.45 percent of respondents chose an ERP tariff of more than Rp. 20,000, 5.59 percent chose Rp. 13,000 to Rp. 16 thousand, and 5.22 percent chose Rp. 16 thousand to Rp. 20,000.
"The tariff chosen is of course the smallest, around 1,092 respondents chose Rp. 10 thousand to Rp. 13 thousand," said Haris.
