Red Velvet 'Lost' Wendy When Just Releasing An Album
JAKARTA - Reveluv, as Red Velvet fans are feeling angry. The reason is, Red Velvet, who recently released their album "The Reve Finale Festival", had to receive the news that they could not see the group's full promotional appearance. This happened because one of the personnel, Wendy, had to take a complete break from what had just happened to her.
On December 25, the annual SBS Gayo Daejun music program was held again. The event featured a number of K-pop singers singing their songs, including Red Velvet, who was confirmed to sing their newest song, Psycho, as well as several solo appearances. Wendy, as the main vocalist of Red Velvet, will be singing Speechless at the end of the year event.
However, it was reported that Wendy fell off the stage during a rehearsal for her solo stage. This caused Wendy to suffer facial injuries, hip and wrist fractures. Shortly after falling, the Korean-American singer was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Fans are also busy asking for an apology from SBS as the organizer of the event. SBS apologized to the disappointed viewers that Red Velvet was unable to perform live. After this apology, Reveluv remained angry that SBS did not mention a special apology to Wendy.
After this incident, SM Entertainment as the agency also confirmed this news and confirmed that only a few members participated in the annual KBS Gayo Daechukje event which will be held on December 27. Reporting from Soompi, there was no full group performance for this event but the collaborative stage carried out by several members will still go on.
This is very unfortunate for Reveluv considering that Red Velvet has just made a comeback with the song Psycho. This song reaped many achievements in a short period of time, such as the number one All-Kill on all South Korean charts and making them the only girl group to achieve an All-Kill this year. Psycho also reached number one on the iTunes and other foreign music charts.
In addition, Reveluv created a trending hashtag #WeWillBeOkayWendy as a form of support for Wendy to recover quickly.
