CIANJUR - Cianjur Police, West Java, will close the route to Puncak-Cipanas, on New Year's Eve as an effort to suppress the mobility of local residents and from outside Cianjur who want to spend New Year's Eve on that route.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Doni Hermawan said, before New Year's Eve, at exactly 20.00 WIB, the route to the Puncak-Cipanas area will be closed until 1.00 WIB as an anticipation of total traffic jams.

"Before it was closed, we still allowed vehicles with even registration numbers to pass. However, after 20.00 WIB, the route to Puncak-Cipanas from various directions starting from Cianjur, will be closed, both for vehicles with Cianjur number plates or outside the city," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday. , December 15th.

Towards New Year's Eve, the police continue to apply an odd-even system for vehicles from outside the city and apply random checks, for drivers who are not equipped with a vaccine certificate or barcode downloaded through the Cares for Protection application, will be reversed.

Four checkpoints will be established on the Cianjur border with Sukabumi, Bogor, West Bandung, and Bogor Regency, to be precise in the Jonggol area. Officers at the post were strictly checking the drivers and followers in vehicles from outside the city.

"We are trying our best so that the mobility of residents remains limited, as an effort to anticipate the re-emergence of Covid-19 cases.
