'Shaken' By Narcotics, Youth In Sumedang Cant Beat His Lover Until He Falls Down
SUMEDANG - A young man in Sumedang, West Java has to deal with the authorities after being involved in a case of assault on his own lover. This case was a scene and went viral on social media.
Sumedang Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo Robbyanto said that during the investigation, the perpetrator with the initials DR (24) was also involved in drug use. Less than 24 hours after this case went viral, the perpetrator was caught by the police.
"The process of arresting the perpetrators has been carried out, the investigation of this case is less than 24 hours, so I can say this is a very good performance from the Sumedang Police Investigation Unit," said Eko during a press conference at the Sumedang Police, Antara, Wednesday, December 15.
DR's mistreatment of his girlfriend AI (21) took place on Jalan Raya Panyingkiran, Sumedang Regency, last Monday, December 13. Initially AI and DR got into a verbal argument.
"The perpetrator hit the victim's face repeatedly until the victim fell down," said Eko.
Not only once, the beatings were repeated the next day at a location not far from Jalan Panyingkiran. With severe injuries to the face, AI received treatment at a local hospital.
The police who received this report immediately moved to investigate and find the whereabouts of the perpetrators. Until finally DR was arrested at his residence. During the examination, the police conducted a urine test on DR and the results were positive using the psychotropic drug Group I Riklona Clonazepam.
This illegal drug also triggered DR to be violent, to have the heart to hit his lover. "These things that later happened due to taking illegal drugs, we realized this incident had gone viral on social media," said the Police Chief.
As a result of his actions, the suspect was detained at the Sumedang Police Headquarters for examination. DR was charged with Article 351 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.
