Basarnas Finds The Crew Of The KM Roy Ship That Sank In Kukar
TENGGARONG - The East Kalimantan-Kaltara Basarnas Search and Rescue Office managed to find two crew members (ABK) of the kelotok ship KM Roy which sank and died.
"The Joint Search and Rescue Team managed to find the second victim, on behalf of Udin (37) while the first victim on behalf of Andi had already been found," said Head of the East Kalimantan Basarnas Melkianus Kotta in Tenggarong quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 15.
The second victim was found at a distance of 6.44 kilometers from the scene, at around 13.09 WITA.
All victims were immediately evacuated from the scene and taken to the Saliki Health Center, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara.
"With the discovery of all the victims, the search and rescue operation was completed and it was proposed to close, all elements involved were returned to their respective units with thanks and continued with preparedness," said Melki.
Previously, the Head of Basarnas also said that the first victim was found at around 10.30 WITA, on Wednesday morning.
"Distance of discovery from the scene is 4.01 kilometers, north-northeast," said Melkianus Kotta.
The identity of the victim is Andi Asrul, born July 7, 1997, a resident of Sungai Mariam.
It was previously reported that the klotok ship KM Roy sank in the waters of Muara Saliki, Muara Badak District, Kukar Regency, Tuesday, December 14.
