The Story Of Megawati Living On A Battleship For 2 Weeks

JAKARTA - The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, shared the story of having lived on a warship for two weeks. This was done when he was handling the conflict in Maluku.

This was conveyed by Megawati when sharing the most memorable experience of welcoming the 75th Independence celebration uploaded by the Presidential Secretariat Youtube account, Monday, August 17.

According to Megawati, she lived on a warship because security was not allowed to stay on land. This is because the situation in mainland Maluku is heating up.

"We decided, I mean the commander and other security personnel staying on a warship. I lived there for nearly 2 weeks. Imagine I lived there," said Mega.

Mega said, the experience will not be forgotten. How could I not, just getting in and out of the ship was draining. Moreover, he is a woman.

"The ladder is not like a commercial ship, the stairs are upright. As a woman, if I want to go down, I will use the ladder," she said.

Thus, the Chairperson of PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, advised the younger generation to continue to live in harmony. And manage every thing well.

"Live according to what we are very sure of. Allah always gives the destiny of every human being. So the younger generation must have faith and must have hope," he said.
