2 Months Fugitive, Sadistic Murderer In Jember Arrested, Perpetrator Jealous Of Victim Close To Ex-Wife
JEMBER - The perpetrator of the murder of Fanny Yulianto (31) which shocked the residents of Umbulsari Village, Jember, East Java was arrested by the police. The perpetrator with the initials AS (31) is a relative of the victim.
Having been on the run for almost 2 months, the perpetrator was arrested at his hiding place in Surabaya.
The Head of the Jember Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Komang Yogi Aryawiguna, said the motive for the murder was due to heartache. The victim is said to have been close to the perpetrator's ex-wife.
"The perpetrator is jealous. Then the perpetrator is also angry because the victim has a debt, but it has not been paid. The perpetrator finally intends to take the victim's motorbike," said AKP Komang, Wednesday, December 15.
The murder was premeditated by the perpetrator. The perpetrator had prepared a sickle to execute the victim. The victim was first made drunk by being given a drink that had been mixed with the drug Trihexyphenidyl.
The perpetrator and the victim initially quarreled. The victim who was drunk shouted at the perpetrator with dirty words. The perpetrator was angry.
"The perpetrator immediately took a sickle that had been prepared and slashed at the victim repeatedly by hitting the head, hands and stomach which made the victim fall. Then the victim was dragged into a ditch in the fields, then the US fled with the victim's motorbike," he said.
Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrator admitted his actions. The police also seized the victim's knife and motorbike.
"For this incident, the US suspect was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code, 338 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison," said Komang Yogi.
