Impact Of Gaplok Market Fire, Short -Distance Train Travel Stopped At Two Stations

JAKARTA - As a result of the fire at Gaplok Market, Kramat, Central Jakarta, long and short distance train trips were stopped at two stations. Head of Sentiong Kereta Api Station, Yudi, said that five short and long distance train trips were stuck at two stations, namely Senen and Jatinegara Stations.

"It's been almost 2 hours the train journey has been disrupted. The train is stuck at Senen and Jatinegara stations," said Yudi, Wednesday, December 15.

Yudi said the train was stuck because many people had blocked access to train travel. Because the officers put up a police line so that residents would not be on the train tracks.

"We give this a police line, residents are not allowed to pass. And now the officers are guarding it," he said again.

Previously, it was reported that the fire that hit dozens of houses and kiosks on Jalan Kramat Pulo Dalem 2, Pasar Gaplok, RT 001/08, Kelurahan Kramat, Kecamatan Senen, Central Jakarta is still being handled by officers from the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.

The fire is thought to have originated from an electrical short in one of the rented houses. According to Dewi, one of the traders, the fire came from one of the rented houses that was left by the owner. At that time, from the two-story rented house, it could be seen that the fire had soared high.

"Earlier, the fire was seen growing on the second floor of the rented house. The fire was seen at around 08.30 WIB," said Dewi, one of the stall owners who caught fire, Wednesday, December 15.
