Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Telephoned The Regent Of Selayar To Ask About The Conditions Related To The Earthquake
MAKASSAR - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin called directly the Regent of the Selayar Islands, South Sulawesi, to inquire about the conditions related to the earthquake that occurred.
Selayar Regent Muh Basli Ali conveyed to the Vice President that there were two sub-districts that were affected by the earthquake and suffered severe damage, namely Pasimarannu District and Pasilambena District, which are located closest to East Nusa Tenggara.
The Vice President said he would instruct the Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of PUPR to immediately review and provide assistance to communities affected by the earthquake in the Selayar Islands Regency.
In addition, the Vice President also asked the PUPR minister to immediately review damaged public facilities and infrastructure related to the impact of the 7.5 magnitude earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Selayar together with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum continues to coordinate regarding preparations to go directly to the earthquake-affected locations in the two sub-districts.
The two sub-districts in the islands were immediately reviewed for the condition of their communities and provided assistance to ease the burden on the people affected by the earthquake.
According to the plan tomorrow morning, the Regent of Selayar and the local Forkopimda will use a speed boat hercules to go to Pasilambena and Pasimarannu sub-districts.
