10 Precious Seconds In The Life Of Gibran 'Jokowi' Rakabuming, Feel The Tension When Two-Meter Reticulated Pythons Neck
JAKARTA - The mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, showed a tense and fearful expression when a python was wrapped around his neck by one of the volunteers from the Exotic Animal Lovers Indonesia (Exalos) community volunteers.
This moment occurred when Gibran attended the 2021 International Volunteer Birthday Ceremony in the Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Rectorate Building Field, Tuesday, December 14.
After the ceremony, Gibran took the time to give a fistful of greetings to the volunteers, officers and residents who attended the commemoration. When meeting with the volunteer members, Gibran was offered to get acquainted more closely with the 2-meter python that was brought.
"Would you like it? Just put it on," said a male member of exalos to Gibran, quoted from Youtube news in Surakarta, Tuesday, December 14. The man then took out the python from the pouch he was carrying.
Gibran seemed hesitant with the young man's offer. The eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also asked what kind of snake was brought.
"Reticulated pythons. It's safe," the man assured Gibran.
Gibran still has doubts. He asked to hold the reptile directly while the man continued to make sure that this snake was safe to hang.
"No problem with megange, but this is it," said Gibran, pointing to the snake's head. Hearing this, the residents and the police around Gibran laughed.
The male volunteer slowly wrapped the python around Gibran's neck while asking for permission. Gibran lowered his body and both hands held the snake's body. Gibran's expression was tense. Just 10 seconds, Gibran then asked the man to take back the python.
"Wis wis wis," said Gibran, greeted with laughter and applause from volunteers.
In the apple, Gibran Rakabuming invited all volunteers to build coordination with the government, including the TNI, Polri and the business world. Gibran also invites all volunteers to build voluntary awareness to strengthen the ties of brotherhood between organizations.
Gibran also handed over the donation of 1,000 trees symbolically by planting trees accompanied by the general chairman of the Eka Tjipta Foundation.
