Acting Competition With Donny Damara And Putri Ayudya While Waiting For Mother, Rey Mbayang Is Very Happy
JAKARTA - Rey Mshadow got the opportunity to compete acting with Donny Damara and Putri Ayudya in the film Waiting for Mother. Rey admitted that at first she didn't know who her co-star was. When it came to reading the scenario for the first time, Rey was very happy.
"I didn't know who to play with before. When I arrived, I just found out who was Donny Damara's father, Putri Ayudya's mother. So I was very happy," said Rey when met in Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 14.
The film Waiting for Mother tells the story of a woman who decides to become the mother of other children, to become one. And now lying unconscious in the hospital, her children are slowly discovering about themselves and the truth about their mother.
Waiting for Mother also stars Adinda Thomas, and Steffi Zamora. "My role is Andra. So in one family there are 3 children and I am the youngest. Andra is a sweet boy, the smallest but tries to balance out his brothers. Almost all communication is felt with love. We are children who really care about mother and father. So when shooting, it's like we are with our own fathers," he said.
Rey recalls that when shooting this film, you could say it was the beginning of trying acting. Therefore, he is grateful to be able to learn acting from Donny and Putri. "It's nice to be able to compete acting with seniors, meaning that I'm good at acting. Not only amazed about the film but overall, because the family bonding is really great," he added.
Waiting for Mother to air on KlikFilm starting December 17th. Rey Mshadow admitted that he was looking forward to it enthusiastically. "I'm very happy, my motivation for this film to be shown is where I don't focus on this. In my opinion, this film was done sincerely, not what it should be made of. Director Richard Oh also accepted it with sincerity," he concluded.
