Revealing The Circulation Of 13 Kg Of Shabu, Binjai Police Detains Acehnese Who Become Suspects
MEDAN - Binjai Police, North Sumatra, revealed the distribution of crystal methamphetamine weighing 13 kilograms. From the disclosure, a man from North Aceh Regency with the initials YI (39) was named a suspect.
Binjai Police Chief AKBP Ferio Sano Ginting accompanied by Head of Drugs Unit AKP Firman Imanuel said the disclosure of the illicit goods was obtained after the Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an investigation.
"On Sunday, December 5, the team received information and stated that a man departed from Lhokseumawe City, Aceh using an L300 bus and was suspected of being carrying narcotics items," said AKBP Ferio, Tuesday, December 14.
After receiving the information, the police immediately launched an investigation.
"Then at 16.00 WIB, on Jalan Tengku Amir Hamzah, Tandem Hulu 2 Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, officers arrested a man with the initials YI (39)," said AKBP Ferio.
The police also secured the blue bag from YI's hands. After being opened, 13 packages of Chinese tea were found which allegedly contained crystal methamphetamine
"It was admitted by the suspect that YI belonged to him. And as a result of the arrest of narcotics, 130 thousand people were saved," he said.
The suspect and the evidence were secured at the Binjai Police Station. To account for his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subs 112 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
"With the threat of a sentence of 20 years in prison," he concluded.
