Viral Blasphemy, Joseph Suryadi Confesses Lost Cell Phone
JAKARTA - The police stated that they had investigated the alleged blasphemy case behind the viral #TangkapJosephSuryadi. The results of the interim examination, the alleged perpetrator admitted that he had never committed blasphemy on the grounds that his cellphone had been missing since a few days ago.
"Indeed, he admitted that his cellphone was lost," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, December 14.
However, when asked about the time of the disappearance of Joseph Suryadi's cellphone, Zulpan said he could not explain in detail. The reason, the inspection process is still ongoing.
"I can't tell you yet because I'm still being asked for information," said Zulpan.
Previously, the hashtag #TangkapJosephSuryadi went viral on Twitter. The hashtag relates to allegations of blasphemy.
The alleged blasphemy emerged after the Twitter account @NayoanAngelyca uploaded two photos. Where, one of the photos shows a picture of a man and a woman.
In the picture even then written inappropriate sentences about the religion of Islam. Thus, it is considered blasphemy.
While the second photo shows a man with glasses. The man is referred to as Joseph Suryadi.
