Task Force: 10 Days Self Quarantine Not Just Stamps, There Must Be Reports Including PCR Results
JAKARTA - Head of the Health Handling Division of the COVID-19 Task Force Brigadier General (Ret.) Dr Alexander Ginting said that self-quarantine is not only a stamp, but there are procedures that must be followed.
"Self-quarantine is not just a stamp, but how to do quarantine at each other's homes. This self-quarantine is not without risks, there are risks because there are other individuals in the house," Ginting said in a dialogue quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 14.
Self-quarantine for people who have just returned from abroad is allowed with discretion. Especially for high-ranking state officials as well as diplomats and embassy officials of friendly countries.
However, the self-quarantine is given with a note that safety aspects must still be considered.
“The self-quarantine must have a report. This report is important to determine whether there are symptoms or not, report PCR results, and so on," he explained.
The task force asked for an example for the people who were given the freedom to self-quarantine. He asked not to roam and obey existing regulations during the self-quarantine process.
The government does not prohibit people from traveling abroad, but when they return to the country, they need to comply with existing rules, which are to be quarantined for 10 days. The quarantine is divided into two, some are paid for by the government and some are paid for by the community.
For students, official travel agents financed by the government and migrant workers, including part of those who are financed by the government and quarantine at Wisma Pademangan. Meanwhile, groups that are not financed by the government or independent groups must quarantine in a designated hotel.
