BMKG Warning: Areas Of Flores, Sikka Island And Lembata Island Are On Tsunami Alert
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency noted that a number of areas were on tsunami alert status due to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday, December 14, at 7.59 latitude, 122.24 east longitude or 113 km northwest of LARANTUKA-NTT. The point of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 KM.
"Tsunami potential to be passed on to the community," wrote the BMKG warning broadcast at https://warning2.bmkg.go.id/
BMKG recommends continuing to follow the directives of the TSUNAMI early warning from BPBD, BNPB and BMKG.
In the report, a number of cities have a tsunami warning alert status, including Flores-Northern East (NTT), Sikka Island (NTT), Northern Sikka (NTT) and Lembata Island (NTT).
