BMKG Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Will Happen In Several Regions Of Indonesia Tuesday 14 December
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning forecast for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds that could potentially occur in several parts of Indonesia on Tuesday.
As reported by Antara, Tuesday, December 14, in information quoted from the BMKG website, the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds was warned for the provinces of Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Bengkulu, Jambi, Lampung, Riau, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java.

Similar conditions have the potential to occur in the provinces of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua.
According to BMKG, seeds of Tropical Cyclone 28W were observed in the Pacific Ocean north of Papua which forms a convergence area that extends across the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines and north of Papua.
The Center of Low Pressure is observed in the eastern Natuna Sea which forms a convergence area that extends from the South China Sea to the Natuna Sea and from the Karimata Strait to West Kalimantan.
The convergence area was also observed extending from the Malacca Strait to the western waters of Aceh, from Bengkulu to Lampung, from the Java Sea to the southern Makassar Strait, from the central Makassar Strait to Southeast Sulawesi, and from the Sangihe-Talaud Islands to the Halmahera Sea.
According to the BMKG, these conditions can increase the potential for rain cloud growth around tropical cyclone seed areas, low-pressure centers, and along the convergence area.
