Update On COVID-19 As Of August 15: New Positive Cases 2,345, Total 137,468

JAKARTA - The number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 continues to grow. As of this day, an additional 2,345 new cases were recorded.

reached 137,468. Meanwhile, 1,703 patients recovered within 24 hours and 50 people died.

With the addition of this number, a total of 91,321 patients recovered and 6,071 COVID-19 patients died.

The highest number of positive cases of COVID-19 is still in DKI Jakarta with 28,299 cases. In second place is East Java with 26,979 cases; Central Java 11,340 cases; South Sulawesi with 10,793 cases and West Java with 8,275 positive cases of COVID-19.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 1,862,801. In details, as many as 1,824,702 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 38,099 using molecular rapid tests (TCM). at 76,327 people. Currently, 482 districts / cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.

Globally, COVID-19 has infected 216 countries. The total number of COVID-19 positive in the world 17,660,523. Meanwhile, the number of people who died from COVID-19 reached 680,894.
