Detachment 88 Anti-terror Arrest Fugitive Terrorist Bombing Makassar Cathedral

JAKARTA - The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Team of the National Police has arrested a fugitive terrorist involved in the bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church, South Sulawesi.

The Head of the Operational Assistance Section (Banops) of the Anti-terror Detachment 88 of the National Police, Kombes Aswin Siregar, confirmed the arrest.

"Yes, that's right, there is one person," said Aswin, when quoted by Antara, Monday, December 13.

Aswin has not disclosed the initials of the arrested fugitive. His arrest was made last week.

"Arrested last week," he said.

One person who was arrested, said Aswin, was a fugitive on the People's Wanted List (DPO) related to the bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church on March 28, 2021.

"This is from the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) group," said Aswin.
