A Fight At Karaoke Because The Victim Controls The Mic, Fishermen In Sergai, North Sumatra, Throw Glasses Filled With Tuak
MEDAN - Police arrested a fisherman with the initials RO (50) in Tanjung Beringin District, Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) Regency, North Sumatra. He was arrested for throwing a glass filled with palm wine at a man with the initials RI (36).
Tanjung Beringin Police Chief AKP Tobat Sihombing said the incident occurred on Thursday, August 19 evening in Hamlet III Kubang Gajah, Pematang Cermai Village, Tanjung Beringin District.
At first, the victim and his colleague Rahman came to the shop and ordered 1 teapot of palm wine. Then the victim and his partner sang karaoke.
"Then the perpetrator came and ordered 1 pitcher of tuak and drank it. Then the victim's friend ordered another 1 pot of tuak and continued to sing karaoke with the victim," said Iptu Repentance, Monday, December 13.
Because the victim continued to sing, the perpetrators who objected protested.
"The perpetrator said to the victim, 'you just keep singing' and the victim answered that after 1 song, I gave Mr. Roi the mic. But the perpetrator continued to smack and threw his wine glass at the reporter," he said.
AKP Tobat explained that the throw hit the right temple of the eye, causing a tear. Then, the victim's right cheek, upper right lip and right chin were also injured.
"The victim objected to this incident and then the reporter reported the incident to the Tanjung Beringin Police on Friday, August 20, 2021.
Based on the report, the police immediately launched an investigation. Police later learned of the whereabouts of the suspect hiding in Tangkahan.
"Then on Sunday, December 12, the suspect RO was arrested on Jalan Nelayan, Tanjung Beringin District," he explained.
To account for his actions, the perpetrators were processed by law at the Tanjung Beringin Police.
"According to the results of the examination, the witnesses and suspects were proven to have committed a criminal act of persecution and violated Article 351 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code," said AKP Repentance.
