PADANG - The Padang District Attorney, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) will immediately prepare an indictment for DJ, called Udin (70), the grandfather who is suspected of having sex with his two underage grandchildren.
The indictment was prepared by the prosecutor's office after receiving the surrender of the suspect and evidence from the police investigators (phase II) on Monday, December 13.
"Today we received the surrender of the suspect and evidence from the police, for the next time the public prosecutor (JPU) will prepare an indictment against this case," said Head of the General Crimes Section of the Padang Attorney General's Office, Budi Sastera, as quoted by Antara.
An obscene grandfather was charged with sexual intercourse and obscene cases against a minor under Article 81 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 76 E in conjunction with Article 82 paragraph (2) concerning Child Protection.
In addition to DJ, the Padang Kejari today also received the surrender of the suspect and evidence for the victim's uncle with the initials AO, called Rian (23).
However, both were processed in two separate files, the DJ case was handled by the Public Prosecutor, Dewi Elvi Susanti, while the AO case was handled by Voni Amedya Putri.
Budi is targeting the family obscenity case to be transferred to the court next week, so that it can be tried.
Meanwhile, the cousin of the victim, with the initials ADA, who is still 16 years old, has started a trial that is closed to the public.
The three people are the perpetrators who are suspected of raping and molesting the younger sisters aged 9 and five years, with a total of seven known perpetrators.
The perpetrators are the closest people who should protect the victim, namely the biological grandfather, uncle, cousin, and neighbors.
The grandfather, uncle, and cousin of the victim have been legally processed, while the other two, namely the victim's older brother and cousin, were diverted by the police because they were under 12 years old, the other two perpetrators are still at large.
Diversion is the transfer of the settlement of children's cases from the criminal justice process to processes outside of criminal justice.
Meanwhile, the two victims are currently being accompanied by the Padang City Government through related agencies to undergo the healing and recovery process.
