Asking Regions To Accelerate Vaccine Injecting, Reward: Don't Miss The Vaccine So It's Not Used
JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked for an increase in vaccination achievements in the last three weeks of 2021. Regions with low vaccine achievement were asked by Ganjar to develop a strategy for accelerating vaccination.
This was conveyed by Ganjar after chairing a meeting for handling COVID-19 in Cities in Central Java virtually at his office, Monday, December 13. Ganjar said the acceleration strategy will be mapped out immediately. Especially for areas with a large population but limited health facilities.
"So that later we can know what we have to help. For example (health) personnel, such as vaccines, such as equipment and so on," said Ganjar in a written statement.
Ganjar also reminded a number of areas whose vaccine stocks were nearing expiration to be injected immediately. Moreover, in some areas, the number of vaccines approaching expiration is small.
"We don't want to be missed like we used to, so the vaccine won't be used. However, there are some that should be finished this week, small ones, I think, can be completed quickly, injected today will also be completed, "he said.
In addition, the five vaccine buses owned by the Central Java Provincial Government also continue to move. Finally, said Ganjar, the vaccination bus owned by the provincial government also helped accelerate the three districts which were highlighted last week because their achievements were not yet 70 percent. Namely Tegal, Pemalang and Brebes.
Several strategies that can be used by regions to accelerate vaccines are by cooperating with many parties. For example, TNI, Polri, or volunteers to hold vaccination centers.
"This gang will be able to accelerate, because the time is about to finish. I calculated the finish at the end of December, so I asked them to run now, how to run, yes, the energy must be accumulated and that's a lot of strengths that we put together to help, "he said.
Especially for regions that have met the prerequisites for vaccines for children aged 6-11 years, Ganjar asked to immediately start the implementation of vaccination. Socialization can be done by the regional head, through the student's guardian, committee or school.
"Preparations for vaccination of children aged 6-11 have been given instructions, so now we ask the Regent of the Mayor to carry out socialization to the guardians of students. I think through the committee, this school is very good and the time can start tomorrow morning, "said Ganjar.
However, Ganjar added, the obstacle is the dose of special vaccine for children from the central government that has not been received by the provincial government.
"So some of the vaccines that were not taken yesterday by the regencies and cities, I ask to be taken today, otherwise tomorrow we will inject them into the children as a test and we will start the socialization immediately after our meeting today," he said.
