BUMN Distributing Thousands Of Basic Food Packages

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), this state-owned construction and investment company, provides free food packages to the community around the company.

PTPP's President Director, Novel Arsyad, said that the assistance was given as a form of the company's concern for the surrounding community and in order to welcome PTPP's 67th anniversary.

Novel Arsyad handed over this symbolic distribution of staples, accompanied by SVP Corporate Secretary Yuyus Juarsa and SVP HCM Division Ni Made Sasanti. PTPP distributed a total of 1,067 basic food packages.

In addition to receiving basic food packages, the surrounding community also received cash assistance from the company. The funds were successfully collected from the results of collecting donations (charity) in the PP Idol event which was held on Thursday, August 13 afternoon.

"In the event, the event committee managed to collect charity funds amounting to Rp. 111 million which was collected in less than two hours," said Novel Arsyad in his written statement, Friday, August 14.

PP Idol 2020 is one of the events that is part of the 67th PTPP anniversary series. The charity funds are generated from viewers who donate by selecting contestants who will be winners in the PP Idol competition.

BUMN according to Novel Arsyad, is a part of Indonesian society which has contribution to develop the country without limit.

"The activity of distributing 1,067 food packages is a form of PTPP's concern to help the surrounding community in need, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Novel Arsyad.
