Concert Riots, Travis Scott Removed From The 2022 Coachella Line-up

JAKARTA - Singer Travis Scott was removed from the 2022 Coachella Music Festival line-up list. His name was revoked after the Astroworld concert riot case last November.

Travis Scott's name was announced as the line-up in January 2020 but due to the pandemic, the festival continues to be postponed.

Launching Deadline, this news was first shared by KESQ radio in Palm Springs. Coachella has notified Scott of the cancellation and he has been asked to pay a 25 per cent fine.

On the other hand, Travis Scott's side is trying to make sure he can still appear as a sign of his return to the stage after the events of the Astroworld concert.

The public also urged that Travis Scott's name be removed from the list of Coachella performers. A petition on Change.org asking for this has already been signed by 60,000 people.

Coachella, which has been held since 1999, is one of the largest music festivals in North America with a capacity of 125,000 spectators and tickets are always sold out. Even though two years have passed, the audience is still holding on to their 2020 Coachella tickets.

Coachella 2022 is scheduled to be held April 15-17, 2022 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif.

Travis Scott became the talk of the town after his festival, Astroworld, rioted and killed 10 spectators. Currently, he was facing hundreds of lawsuits from festival goers. Travis Scott said he was unaware of the riots even after he finished performing.
