Victims Died Due To The Hot Clouds Of Mount Semeru Add More, Total So 46 People
JAKARTA - The Search and Rescue (SAR) team under the coordination of Basarnas is still looking for victims of the Mount Semeru hot cloud in three sectors. The death toll as of today, Saturday 11 December until 18.00 WIB, totaled 46 people.
The SAR team from Basarnas personnel, TNI, Polri, BPBD, volunteers and residents was divided into 4 groups. Three groups focused on searching in three sectors while one was on standby for evacuation and assisting in data collection for residents affected by the disaster.
The first group conducted a search in the hamlets of Kajar Kuning and Curah Kobokan, the second group in the Pasir H mining area. The third group in the hamlets of Keboneli and Kampung Renteng.
Rainy weather conditions sometimes hinder the search for missing victims. Basarnas emphasizes the safety and security of responders working in the field. The responders before carrying out operations in the field first received a security and safety briefing.
As a result of other fatalities, 9 people are still missing, while 18 people are seriously injured and 11 people are lightly injured.
Meanwhile, the data collection of residents who fled today (11/12) amounted to 9,118 people. The data collection process for survivors is still being updated every day. Of the total number, the number of male survivors is 4,435 and 4,683. Currently, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), assisted by volunteers, is helping to strengthen data collection in the field so that disaggregated data, especially vulnerable groups, can be better recorded.
The survivors were spread across 115 refugee posts, of which 18 points were concentrated in 3 sub-districts, namely Pasirian District with 6 points (2,081 people), Candipuro with 8 points (3,538) and Pronojiwo with 4 points (1,056).
A total of 94 other points are spread across Lumajang Regency, including 10 points for Sukodono (334 people), Sumbersuko 8 points (312), Lumajang 12 points (380), Yosowilangun 4 points (70), Pasrujambe 2 points (197), Randuagung 9 points (52), Senduro 7 points (131), Tekung 4 points (68), Jatiroto 4 points (90), Kunir 5 points (171), Klakah 7 points (55), Kedungjajang 9 points (61 people), Gucialit 2 points (15), Tempusari 1 point (21), Padang 4 points (205), Ranuyoso 1 point (31) and Rowokangkung 5 points (60). Meanwhile, residents who took refuge outside Lumajang were in Malang Regency 2 points (179) and Probolinggo 1 point (11).
In an effort to handle this emergency, the local government activated a command post (posko) located in Pasirian District. The Post for Emergency Management of Hot Clouds and Falls from the Eruption of Mount Semeru is supported by two Sub Task Force I (Lumajang) posts located in Candipuro Village, Candipuro District and Sub Task Force II (Malang) Posts in Oro-oro Ombo Village, Pronojiwo District. Still under the control of the Command Post, the aid logistics post is centered at the Lumajang Regent's Hall, while the Field Support Post is located in Penanggal Village, Candipuro District.
In addition to search and rescue operations, the Command Post also prioritizes services to affected residents and the restoration of facilities and infrastructure affected by volcanic ash.
In an effort to serve residents, the main emergency response post in Lumajang opened a service center or call center at 081234570077 so this is expected to help residents who need service support during the emergency response period until December 17, 2021.
