COVID-19 Update As Of December 11: 228 New Cases From 303,998 Specimens Examined

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 303,998 specimens examined, the results showed the addition of 228 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,258,980 people and 5,186 active cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, December 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 190 cases, bringing the total to 4,109,865 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 6 people and a total of 143,929 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 40 cases and a total of 708,318 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 32 new cases with a total of 864,358 cases. East Java has 21 new cases and a total of 399,707 cases. Then, East Nusa Tenggara 21 new cases and a total of 64,151 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 42 recovered cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 29 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 19 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 18 recovered cases.

Meanwhile, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 57,900,609.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.12 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 5,114 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 145,910,019 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 102,445,257 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was followed by 1,257,116 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
