At Hotel Sultan, Erick Thohir Receives The Sharia Economic Driver Award From MUI
JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir received the Sharia Economic Movers award from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). Erick is considered to be consistent and concrete in working for the economic revival of the people.

This is in line with President Joko Widodo's vision that an advanced Indonesia can be realized, one of which is by leveraging the economy of the people, whose Muslim population is 87 percent of the total. the world's Muslim population," said an official statement from the Ministry of SOEs received in Jakarta, Saturday, December 11.
The commitment and consistency of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, to not only think about but also to mobilize various national economic potentials has been rewarded as a Sharia Economic Driver by the MUI.
The awarding was witnessed by all representatives of MUI and Islamic organizations throughout Indonesia at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta.
Starting from upstream to downstream, Minister Erick Thohir encourages the people's economic program. Upstream, Erick Thohir has just launched the Muslim LeaderPreneur Program at the Istiqlal Mosque.
Muslim LeaderPreuner will carry out comprehensive programs ranging from training, mentoring, awarding to access to financing in collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI).
While downstream, Erick Thohir made policy affirmations such as the Pertashop partnership program for Islamic boarding schools and mosques, the Makmur Program, People's Business Credit, Mekaar, and the MSME digital market.
Apart from that, he was also clearly involved in the merger of 3 state-owned Islamic banks into Bank Syariah Indonesia so that he was included in the top 5 banks in Indonesia and the top 10 Islamic banks in the world.
Recently, the Ministry of SOEs led by Erick Thohir through the Asset Management Company (PPA) also helped strengthen Bank Muamalat as a sharia bank founded by Muslims in Indonesia.
