Former Tabanan DPRD Member Becomes LPD Corruption Suspect
TABANAN - Tabanan District Attorney's investigators, Bali, have named former Tabanan DPRD Member I Gede Wayan Sutarja as a suspect in the corruption case of the Village Credit Institution (LPD) of the Sunantaya Traditional Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency.
"Based on the evidence obtained by the investigators that sufficient evidence has been obtained to determine I Gede Wayan Sutarja who is a former Member of the Tabanan Regency DPRD for two terms in his capacity as a former Bendesa Adat Sunantaya as a suspect based on Suspect Determination Letter Number: B-03/ N.1.17/Fd.1/12/2021 dated December 9, 2021," said Kajari Tabanan Ni Made Herawati in a press release quoted by Antara, Friday, December 10.
He said that in this case the suspect I Gede Wayan Sutarja served as Chairman of the Supervisory Body or Panureksa LPD of the Sunantaya Traditional Village. While holding this position, the suspect is suspected of having abused his authority, causing state financial losses of Rp. 1,164,657,500.
The fraud is known to have occurred from the report on the results of the audit of the calculation of state financial losses (PKKN) by the Tabanan Regency Inspectorate at the village credit institution (LPD) of Pakraman Sunantaya Village, Penebel Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency from 2007 to October 2017.
In addition, the Tabanan Kejari also named the former Secretary of the Sunantaya Village LPD named Ni Putu Eka Swadewi as a suspect, based on the Suspect Determination Letter number B-02/N.1.17/Fd.1/12/2021 dated December 9, 2021.
He said that Ni Putu Eka Swandewi was also named a suspect from the results of an investigation into the alleged misuse of the Sunantaya Village LPD funds for the 2009 to 2017 budget year. The investigation was carried out based on an Investigation Order Number Print-02/N.1.17/Fd.1/03/2021 March 2, 2022.
"The suspect, Ni Putu Eka Swandewi, as the Secretary of the LPD Sunantaya Traditional Village, has abused his authority, causing state financial losses of Rp. 226,220,000 based on the report on the results of the audit on the calculation of PKKN losses by the Tabanan Regency Inspectorate," he said.
