As a public official, Oded M Danial is concerned about the victims of the eruption of Mount Semeru which claimed lives, property and natural damage. As a form of concern, the deceased conveyed his deep condolences for the disaster that seized the attention of the entire Indonesian nation.

He also conveyed his condolences as the number one person in the city of Bandung. "On behalf of the Bandung City Government, I am sorry for the eruption of Mount Semeru. Hopefully, the residents there will be given safety," said the mayor at the Bandung City Hall, Saturday, December 4.
