Troubled DKI Infiltration Well, TGUPP Defends Anies: Actually Continuing Pak Jokowi's Program

JAKARTA - Member of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) DKI Tatak Ujiyati responded to infiltration wells which are currently receiving a lot of public criticism.

The criticism was made because the infiltration well that the DKI Provincial Government has been working on has been having problems lately. Some of the covers fell off, disrupting the road, causing the car tires to fall. However, Tatak revealed that the program was actually a legacy from Joko Widodo when he was still governor of DKI.

"The infiltration wells, which are now massively built in Jakarta during the Anies era, are actually continuing the DKI Provincial Government's program under Pak Jokowi," Tatak said via the Tatakujiyati Twitter account, quoted on Friday, December 10.

Tatak also admitted that he was surprised. When Jokowi launched the construction of infiltration wells since 2013, no one had a problem. This is different from the infiltration well program under the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan.

"Before it was not a problem, why is it now a problem?" he said.

For information, recently, vertical infiltration or drainage wells in the Capital City have been in the spotlight. Towards the end of the year, the DKI Provincial Government is speeding up the construction of vertical drainage to reach 26 thousand points by the end of December 2021.

Unfortunately, a number of infiltration wells were damaged. One of them is what the comic Soleh Solihun complained about. Soleh said that the construction of the infiltration well on Jalan Intan, Cilandak, South Jakarta was only carried out a month ago. Turns out, the cover was broken.

The cover of the infiltration well on Jalan Karang Tengah, Lebak Bulus also collapsed. So, local residents put flower pots to mark so that motorized vehicle users do not pass, until it is finally repaired.

Then, the infiltration well on Jalan Lebak Bulus III, Cilandak, South Jakarta collapsed and was paved. The asphalting was carried out to cover the infiltration well which was just made a month ago. Then, 23 points of infiltration wells are perforated to absorb water.

Finally, the tire of a car fell into an infiltration well on the road in the Taman Bona Indah area, Lebak Bulus, Central Jakarta. The infiltration well, which is covered with asphalt, burst because it was run over by a car tire.
