Having Worked On Several Buildings In Saudi Arabia, PTPP Again Targets Overseas Projects

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), a national state-owned construction and investment company, is targeting several new project contracts in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines for the development of company businesses abroad.

"Armed with the experience of working on projects abroad so far, we are optimistic that we will again expand our wings abroad. For its success in developing a number of projects, PTPP has also received recognition from foreign parties by receiving a number of international awards," said the President Director of PT PP Persero) Novel Arsyad in his written statement, Friday, August 14.

He said, armed with his experience in working on foreign projects in the Middle East in 2010, PTPP is optimistic that in the future it can return to work on overseas projects.

In the Middle East, PTPP has worked on the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology KAUST project in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. In the project, PTPP worked on Residential Buildings, Civil Buildings, University Campus and Marina.

The project, which at that time was valued at US $ 3 million in collaboration with a local contractor, namely the Saudi Binladin Group. The company's next project, namely the Amir Naif Palace Project (Crown Prince, Defense Minister), located in Jeddah, with a project value of US $ 62 million.

PTPP is also working on the construction of the Saleh Awair Palace Project (Deputy Interior Minister) which is also located in Jeddah with a project value of 44 million US dollars. In addition to this project, PTPP also carried out the construction of the King Saud University Endowment (KSUE) project located in Riyadh.

The scope of work carried out by PTPP includes the Convention Center (Mall), Medical Tower, Office Tower, 5th Star Hotel, 7th Star Hotel, and Residential Suite.

Apart from working on project development in the Middle East, PTPP also received the trust of neighboring countries to work on several projects in Timor Leste. One of the monumental buildings built by PTPP in the country is the Timor Leste Ministry of Finance Building.

This building is the tallest and first-story building in Dili, Timor Leste. The office building which consists of 12 floors and 1 basement has a contract value of 28 million US dollars.

Apart from working on a multi-storey building project, PTPP also received the trust of the Timor Leste Government to work on Jalan Tibar-Gleno. The road rehabilitation and maintenance project has a contract value of US $ 29 million.

Still in Timor Leste, PTPP is also working on the rehabilitation of the Liquica-Mota Ain Road. The road project located in Dili has a contract value of US $ 20 million.

Apart from making a number of achievements by working on overseas projects, PTPP has won a number of prestigious awards both at the national and international levels. Having received several awards from various parties, this proves that PTPP has earned a place and the trust of various parties for the performance it has produced.

As for the overseas awards that have been won by PTPP, including the Best Civil Engineering Project Award for an Outstanding and Remarkable Contribution to the Advancement of Civil Engineering and Development in Asia given by the Asian Civil Engineering Coordinating Council (ACECC) in 2016 in Hawaii .

In addition to the awards given to company performance appraisals, PTPP has received a number of awards from International Magazine, namely Forbes. In this award, PTPP has always been included in the Best of The Best 50th Companies.
