Google Makes Most Searched Name Award, Greysia Polii Is At The Top
JAKARTA - Another proud achievement was achieved by Indonesian women's doubles badminton player, Greysia Polii towards the end of the year. Not from the world of sports, Greysia received an award from Google related to its popularity in cyberspace.
Greysia received the Google Year in Search 2021 award for being the most searched person this year. Outperforming celeb Sisca Kohl and soap opera Amanda Manopo, Greysia Polii's name is at the top of the search list.
This proud news was first published by the official Google account on Wednesday, December 8 through an upload on an Instagram story which was later reposted by Greysia Polii.
Not wanting to be left behind, Greysia Polii also shared the upload on her personal account @greyspolii. Accompanying the upload, Greysia did not forget to thank her for the great public attention she had for winning the Google in Search 2021 award.
"Thank you friends for pointing me out on Google. Hehehe. G for Greysia, eh wrong for Google," he wrote.
"Towards the close of 2021 strong. Thank God for always giving extra strength in the midst of storms or success," closed Greysia.
Getting an award for the most searched name category throughout the year, it doesn't seem like something unusual to be pinned on Greysia. The reason is, Greysia is subscribed to achieving achievements so many people are trying to find out her figure.
Together with her duet partner in the women's doubles sector, Apriyani Rahayu, Greysia managed to bring home a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Not only that, Greysia/Apriyani's slick appearance also managed to bring them to win the Thailand Open 2020 title, penetrate the final round of the Indonesia Open 2021, and 2021 BWF World Tour Finals semifinals.
