Hundreds Of Visitors With Disabilities Free Recreation In Ancol

JAKARTA - Hundreds of disabled visitors enjoy free recreation at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service, Premi Lasari, said there were 486 people with disabilities as well as 239 companions and their families who participated in recreation to Ocean Dream Samudra Ancol, Sea World and Dunia Fantasi.

"We want to share the joy of this International Day of Persons with Disabilities," said Premi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 9.

One of the disabled, Syaiful Ahmad admitted that he was happy, happy and entertained to be able to visit Sea World Ancol for the first time using his wheelchair.

"This is my first time here (Sea World Ancol), on the occasion of International Disability Day. The place is comfortable, disability-friendly too. So, everything is easy for wheelchair users," said Syaiful.

Syaiful is a physically disabled person who is a member of the Indonesia One Disability Foundation, East Jakarta.

He said that he went to Sea World Ancol with 29 other YDIS groups by bus since 09.00 WIB.

"Entering here is free, from the DKI Jakarta Social Service who invited them to come here," said Syaiful.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Budi Aryanto said that the visit of persons with disabilities was the second visit. Previously, the same visit was also held on Wednesday, December 8th.

"This is our second visit, yesterday the first. Now in total we have the opportunity to welcome 725 friends with disabilities. We hope, not just stopping today, friends can feel the joy of enjoying the rides in Ancol, " said Budi.

Budi expressed his gratitude for the DKI Social Service for giving Ancol the opportunity to collaborate in celebrating this year's International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

He also realized that it was still a pandemic, so it was not possible to make a large number of visits at the same time.

For this reason, the visit of hundreds of visitors is divided into two days and per day has three groups.

There was a group that went to Sea World, some went to Dufan, and some went to Ocean Dream Samudera. Then the settings are adjusted to the needs of each visitor.

According to the list distributed by PT Taman Impian Jaya Corporate Communications Ancol Ariyadi Eko Nugroho, on Wednesday (8/12) there were 160 people in a group who visited Dufan, 93 people to Sea World and 110 people to Ocean Dream Samudra.

Meanwhile on Thursday, there were 160 people in one group to Dufan, 92 people to Sea World, and 110 people to Ocean Dream Samudra.

"Indeed, at this time our condition is still in a pandemic situation, so we suggest limiting the existing quota. At the same time we also follow the needs of the participants who will attend, adjusting to their needs," said Eko.
