Pantun "Mentari-Rembulan" Bamsoet Opens The Annual Session Of The MPR
JAKARTA - Chairman of the MPR, Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet), opened the MPR Annual Session. Bamsoet opened the Annual Session with rhymes.
In the first pantun, Bamsoet invited all parties to strengthen national ties so that Indonesia would progress.
"The morning sun spreads a smile, the song of melodious birds seduces. Let's strengthen our national ties to make Indonesia progress," said Bamsoet while reading the rhyme at the MPR Annual Session at the Parliament complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 14.
Furthermore, in the second pantun, Bamsoet invites all parties to stay enthusiastic even though Indonesia is currently in a dire situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Under the shade of the moon, the ark leaned against the port. In the midst of an atmosphere of concern, let's build a spirit of togetherness," he said.
Meanwhile, based on the records of the Secretariat General, the number of participants in the meeting who physically attended reached 161 members and who attended virtually 274 members.
The agenda for the MPR Annual Session was held in conjunction with the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD, as well as President Joko Widodo's state speech in delivering the 2021 Draft State Budget.
The MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD will begin at 09.00-11.00 WIB. At 09.00 WIB, the activity was scheduled for the opening of the MPR Annual Session to be held in conjunction with the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD as well as the Introduction to the 2020 MPR Annual Session by the Chair of the MPR.
