Zulkifli stated that PAN would hold a 'blue carpet' if the former mayor of Bandung wanted to become a cadre of the party bearing the sun symbol.
"If Kang Emil is willing, thank God. We will give you a blue carpet," said Zulkifli at the DPR Building, Thursday, December 9.
Zulhas, as he is known, admitted that he met Ridwan Kamil on the sidelines of his visit to Bandung, West Java, some time ago. He said PAN was trying to understand Ridwan Kamil and all his achievements.
"We talked about most of Kang Emil's achievements in West Java so that we understand the keys, we in political parties must understand, we can explain to cadres," said Zulhas.
However, Zulhas did not explain whether the meeting also discussed the PAN proposal to Ridwan Kamil. According to him, all topics are discussed and discussed.
"Yes, there are a lot of people talking, here and there, everything can be said," he concluded.
Previously, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil admitted that he was looking for a port for political parties. He is currently considering two options, namely running again as cagub for a second term or trying a higher level in the presidential election battle.
Whatever he chooses, Ridwan Kamil feels that it will be easier for him to move if he joins a political party. So far, Ridwan Kamil has been regularly asked by political parties because of his background as an architect.
"Because it is in the interest of advancing for two (governor) terms. I decided that it would be more stable if I had a party," said Ridwan Kamil at the KPK Building, Thursday, December 9.
"So that the DPRD's support can be strong. That option is the most realistic, right. Outside, if someone proposes to a national leader, it's also a better position to have a party," he continued.
He will decide on this choice in mid-2022. Ridwan Kamil himself admits that he has not been able to decide which way he will choose, the gubernatorial election or the presidential election. "You can't predict math like that. Where is God's destiny," he said.
