A Month Before The End Of The Year, OJK's Budget Absorption Was Recorded At 78 Percent Of IDR 4.8 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports that the budget absorption until November 30, 2021 is IDR 4.86 trillion. This figure was recorded at 78.28 percent of the provided ceiling of Rp. 6.21 trillion.
Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Nurhaida, said that the percentage of budget absorption which was classified as sloping was due to many meeting activities which were then diverted through virtual channels.
However, Nurhaida said that many of the targets and activity targets can be achieved 100 percent without having to spend the entire budget that has been provided.
“If you ask why it was achieved, one of them is that we do it virtually in several activities. Then we also started monitoring by using information technology,” he said during a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, December 9.
Nurhaida added that through a digital supervision strategy for the financial industry, the use of funds could be reduced.
“But in our opinion, in the future we will still have to carry out activities (physical gatherings) that require money. Maybe in 2021 we can make maximum achievements with minimal costs because there are conditions in the past years that have been well structured, "he said.
Furthermore, Nurhaida said that if the authorities view that in the 2022 period the activities and implementation of supervision of the financial services sector will be able to approach the normal level before the pandemic.
"In the 2022 budget, we see that activities can be carried out under normal assumptions," he said.
For information, the OJK 2021 budget of Rp6.21 trillion is an adjustment ceiling made in April 2021.
Previously, at the beginning of the year, the institution led by Wimboh Santoso had a budget of IDR 6.20 trillion.
