Caring For Victims Of The Semeru Eruption, Indonesian Policewomen Distribute Social Assistance And Hold Trauma Healing
JAKARTA— The Women's Police (Polwan) moves to help victims of the Mount Semeru eruption by distributing social assistance (Bansos) and holding trauma healing.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that the Polwan activity concerned with the eruption of Mount Semeru was led by the Head of the National Police History Center (Kapusjarah) Brigadier General Apriastini Baktibugiansri as the Coordinator Officer (Pakor) in this activity.
In addition to the Head of the Headquarters of the National Police, the Karojianbang Lemdiklat Polri Brigadier General Juansih also participated in this activity. Then, the Investigative Doctor and Health (Dokkes) of the National Police Health Center Kombes Rudiatin were also involved.
"75 members of the trauma healing team together with the East Java Police's HR Psychology Bureau were dispatched," said Dedi in a written statement, Wednesday, December 8.
Dedi said that during the two days of carrying out this activity, the Polwan Cared for the Semeru Eruption had visited five refugee locations, including the PGRI Cooperative, the refugee post in Candi Puro, the refugee post at the Jarit Village Hall and Renteng Village and Kamar Kajang Village.
It was recorded, said Dedi, that 230 people were still taking refuge at the Candi Puro post, 150 people in Penanggal Village, 100 people in Sumbermujur Village and 100 people in Sumberwuluh Village.
The social assistance provided to the refugees includes underwear, pampers, biscuits, roll mattresses, mats, blankets, baby milk, sanitary napkins, vitamins, telon oil, eucalyptus oil and other daily necessities.
"In this activity, the concerned Polwan team also visited victims who were being treated at Bhayangkara III Lumajang Hospital," concluded Dedi.
