Central Java Police Chief Affirms No Inclusion During Year-End Holidays, 8,600 Micro PPKM Command Posts Reactivated
SALATIGA - Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi stated that there would be no isolation during the Christmas and year-end holidays.
"Check points, not partitions. Their function is to control people and goods," said the Regional Police Chief in Salatiga, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 8.
Check points, he continued, will be prepared starting from the borders in the western and eastern regions of Central Java.
Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi emphasized that residents who will enter Central Java must meet the requirements to travel during the pandemic, such as having been vaccinated, bringing a certificate, and other requirements.
The COVID-19 health protocol is still a priority even though vaccination in Central Java has reached 72.42 percent.
In addition, he continued, 8,600 micro PPKM posts at the kelurahan level will be reactivated.
According to him, the micro PPKM post is tasked with registering residents who enter or will leave Central Java during the year-end holidays.
According to him, these various efforts are aimed at Central Java being able to control the flow of people coming and going so that the number of COVID-19 cases can be kept under control.
