Novel Baswedan Et Al Will Be Sworn In Tomorrow As National Police ASN, ICW: Evidence Of KPK's TWK To Get Rid Of Employees
JAKARTA - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) said that the inauguration of Novel Baswedan and 43 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the National Police should make Firli Bahuri et al ashamed.
ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana said Firli Bahuri and other KPK leaders should be ashamed because Novel et al could become ASN without having to carry out the National Insight Test (TWK).
"For the KPK, the five commissioners should be ashamed when dozens of former employees joined the National Police. Because they were appointed as ASN without having to go through the TWK," Kurnia said in a written statement quoted on Wednesday, December 8.
Not only that, Kurnia said, this inauguration further proves that the TWK assessment which was the basis for the dismissal of Novel Baswedan et al from the KPK was invalid. In fact, he considers the test to have a political motive to get rid of them.
"This once again proves that the KPK version of TWK is indeed based on a political motive of revenge to get rid of 57 of its own employees," he said.
As previously reported, Novel Baswedan and 43 former KPK employees will be sworn in as state civil servants (ASN) of the National Police on Thursday, December 9 tomorrow or coincide with the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia).
The inauguration of the former KPK employee is planned to be carried out at the Rupatama Building, Police Headquarters at around 09.00 WIB. This activity will be led by US Police HR Inspector General Wahyu Widada.
After being inaugurated, Novel Baswedan et al will first attend the education center at the National Police Education Institute Administration Education Center (Pusdikmin Lemdikpol), Bandung, West Java.
Furthermore, they will carry out special tasks from the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, namely overseeing COVID-19 funds and national strategic projects and helping to oversee the national economic recovery.
