Suraten said that the assistance provided by Jokowi was very beneficial for the people affected by the floods that had hit the Sintang area for about a month.

"I am very, very grateful to Mr. Jokowi, very happy to meet him in person," he said.

During his working visit, President Jokowi symbolically handed over social assistance to beneficiaries. They (citizens) are participants in the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) as many as six people, and nine recipients of Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) assistance.

On this occasion, Jokowi also symbolically handed over aid to protect victims of natural disasters in the form of nine rubber boats with a value of Rp. 69.8 million, two outboard engines with a value of Rp. 86.2 million, a public kitchen car (dumpling) one unit of Rp. 540. million more and 1,000 packages of basic food assistance with a value of Rp. 242.6 million with a total aid of Rp. 938.6 million.
