Novel Baswedan Et Al Inaugurated As National Police ASN During Anti-Corruption Day Commemoration, Febri Diansyah: There Is A Strong Message
JAKARTA - Novel Baswedan and 43 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will be sworn in as state civil servants (ASN) of the National Police on Thursday, December 9 tomorrow or to coincide with the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia).
Responding to this, the former spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Febri Diansyah assessed that there was a strong message that the Police were trying to convey. Moreover, at this time, the level of public confidence in the anti-corruption commission is being overtaken by the Bhayangkara Corps.
"I think there might be a strong message with the momentum of the inauguration on the anti-corruption day. Moreover, now the public's trust in the KPK has dropped drastically," Febri told VOI, Wednesday, December 8.
Furthermore, through his Twitter account @febridiansyah, the anti-corruption activist congratulated Novel Baswedan et al. He said the inauguration to become a National Police ASN would be a further test for them to fight corruption in the country.
"Congratulations on devoting yourself, friends... At the same time it will be a test for every effort to fight corruption.. Inaugurated to coincide with International Anti-Corruption Day," wrote Febri.
As for the other 12 people who chose not to become National Police ASN, Febri hoped that they would continue to contribute to the fight against racial abuse.
"My respect is also for the other 12. With different considerations and choices. Hopefully, they can contribute to corruption management," he said.
It was previously reported that the inauguration of the former KPK employee was planned to be held at the Rupatama Building, Police Headquarters at around 09.00 WIB. This activity will be led by US Police HR Inspector General Wahyu Widada.
After being sworn in, Novel Baswedan et al will first attend the Education Center for the Administration of the National Police Education Institute (Pusdikmin Lemdikpol), Bandung, West Java.
Later, after being sworn in, they will carry out special tasks from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, namely overseeing COVID-19 funds and national strategic projects as well as helping to oversee the national economic recovery.
