New Year's Fireworks Party In Bali Banned

DENPASAR - The head of the Bali Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP), Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi, emphasized the tightening of supervision related to the Christmas-New Year holidays even though PPKM level 3 was simultaneously canceled.

"Only the implementation of the restrictions for travellers and tourism objects remains open, nothing is closed. Stay tight, the entry and exit of tourists and the tightness is measurably controlled, the crowd is controlled," said Darmadi, when contacted, Tuesday, December 7.

Tightening of tourists before Christmas-New Year called Darmadi has been carried out. But the officers were asked not to slack in monitoring the health protocols.

In addition, the New Year's Eve fireworks display is prohibited because it will cause a crowd. Strict surveillance is also applied to nightclubs.

"If the celebration of fireworks is definitely prohibited. Because usually there is a crowd playing fireworks and this is still COVID-19 and don't be too euphoric. We ask that there be no fireworks. until there is a crowd, and it is controlled according to health protocols," he added.

Later, around 1,000 Satpol PP personnel, including the TNI-Polri, assisted by pecalang and Linmas, will be deployed to carry out surveillance.

Darmadi appealed to the public to consistently adhere to the health protocols. For those who have not been vaccinated, they are asked to immediately vaccinate against COVID-19.

"Because in the future Bali will host automatic international activities to drive Bali's economy and we can guarantee that Bali is a comfortable, safe and orderly area for health protocols," he said.
